The Internet has become an indispensable means of communication in our daily lives. In order for the Internet to function properly, many protocols must perform functions while exchanging messages. And these protocols must be compatible with each other, so standardization is necessary. There are a number of organizations that enact Internet protocols, but in this presentation, we will talk about the importance of protocols by looking at how the protocols are made and which protocols are currently being prepared by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF). Most of Internet protocols are developed as open standards through open processes to make the Internet work better. The IETF is a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. The main contents of this talk include IETF-related organizations(for example Internet Society), AREA, Working Group, Internet Standard Process, and RFCs etc. |
